TUTORIAL 1 – How to register as a user.

Step 1. Go to the address bar and type in www.harlechwi.co.uk (no capitals)

Step 2 – The Harlech WI home page will then display.

Book mark this page so that when you go into your computer you won’t need to type in www.harlechwi.co.uk every time. Right click your mouse and a caption will come up saying “Book mark this page,” the graphics will be different on some computers.

Step 3 – Register. This will allow you to leave comments or ask questions etc.

Go to the right hand side of the screen and scroll down to “log in”. Click on this.

This page will then come up.

Step 4 – Press on register.  This page will then come up.

Type in your user name i.e. your name – asims (don’t put a space between your first name and surname)

Type in your email address i.e. Amanda.simsva@gmail.com (This will remain private. Only site admin will see this)

Click on the register bottom

You will then be sent a computer generated password (to your email box).

You then need to enter this into this page

Step 5 – Again type in your user name and then type in the password. Tick the box which says “remember me” and this will save your information so that you don’t need to enter it each time you enter the site. You can then send a message to the site.

Your message/comments  will not show up immediately as “admin” has to prove it. This is a security system to stop spam messages and helps keep the integrity of the site.

Step 6. This page will then come up.

You can change your pass word to something you will find easier to remember by going to the bottom of the page and typing in your chosen password twice in the two boxes at the bottom of the page. Then click the blue button. You only need to do this once.

To view the site again, click at the top of the page on “view site”, next to where it says Harlech WI .
