Joining the WI

How do I join:
Either contact Jan Spicer or any other officer or just turn up on the night, you will be made to feel very welcome.

Subscriptions:
Subscriptions cover the period January to December. A new member joining in October will not have to pay her joining fees until January, as she will be given three months free. If you join in November or December the same applies and you will not be due to pay any subs until January.
The subscription fees are divided between the National Federation and our group. We retain just over half.

Costs:
Full membership: £29.00 per year. Prices are having to go up 50p for 2009/10 so the price will be £29.50.
Dual membership: £12.62 per year – membership with another ‘group’.


What do I get for my subscription?

  • Membership of your local WI and access to county and national federation activities.
  • Eight copies of the WI life magazine which is filled with interesting articles and offers.
  • The chance to attend a wide range of courses at Denman Collage, the residential college near Oxford.
  • Having your voice heard.
  • The opportunity to learn, develop and pass on new skills.
  • Belonging to something special: making new friends, working with a team but most of all having FUN.
