Harlech Rail Station – Arson!...

Today, Sunday 25th July I have some sad news to report. Some inconsiderate people (the polite name!) have set fire to a stolen scooter in the shelter painted by the school children. Four panels have been damaged as you can see in the photos, BUT fear not as soon as we have the go ahead from arriva we will be back to paint them. Obviously arriva will need to speak with their insurers. [View with PicLens] ...

Harlech Rail Station – Joyce Watso...

Today Saturday July 10th, 2010 Jan Spicer and myself met with Joyce Watson to show her the progress on the station, but most importantly for her to admire the art work by ourselves and year 9 pupils. Harlech Rail Station – Phase 5. Pa...

Not much to say…..we spent yesterday and today varnishing our mural and giving the children’s panels another coat.. After reading the story – ( I know we should have done our research before we started painting, but in our defence we were being led by the college, who haven’t turned up for the last few days) we found out that the witch isn’t a witch but an enchantress so Jan S has been tasked with the job of repainting her. True to their word arriva have also turned up to replace the picket fence with new powder coated spikes. Thank you! [View...

Harlech Rail Station – Phase 5. Pa...

Luckily for us the weather improved from yesterday and by the end of the day the sun was shinning and it was quite warm. On arrival we noticed that some of the panels on the children’s side had been slightly damaged by the rain, but after  a quick scrape down they were soon repaired and repainted. The stencilling was finished and the first coat of varnish applied. By mid afternoon the children had finished their shelter and it looks GREAT, in fact we have had so many positive comments by arriva passengers. The children were quite justifiably very pleased and they should...
